We are looking for a young 18-25 year old developer/creative who is interested in the Gallery, Library, Museum and Archive sector (GLAM). You will have the opportunity to spend up to three months in the DX Lab to build an innovative digital experience. This award promotes innovation, partnership, experimentation and the creative use of the Library’s collection via new interfaces and experiences.

“One of the greatest challenges faced by the State Library of NSW (and all great libraries) centres on finding the best ways of giving the largest possible number of people access to its collections. Digital technology is leading a creative revolution in this area which is unlike anything seen since the time of Caxton and Gutenberg. This new award, supported by our DX Lab and Macquarie Group will give a promising young technologist the chance to try out new ideas and discover new ways of bringing our immense collections to life.” Dr John Vallance, State Librarian

“Improved technology is allowing the delivery of better goods and services across our community including the State Library. Macquarie has long supported emerging talent and is delighted to support a creative technologist undertaking an innovative project to allow the State Library to deliver an even better service to the people of NSW.” Nicholas Moore, Macquarie Group Chief Executive Officer.
